Crib Is Ten Years Bolder.
Rib Crib, a Tulsa-based casual dining
barbecue chain, recently recently announced it is celebrating
its Tenth Anniversary. Rib Crib's menu includes a wide
variety of hickory-smoked meats served in sandwiches,
dinners, and combination platters, as well as a varied
selection of side items, delicious appetizers, homemade
desserts, and budget-conscious kid's meals. Rib Crib opened
its first restaurant in Tulsa, OK, at 16th & Harvard
in May of 1992. That location is still a top-producing
restaurant in the now 21-restaurant chain.
The success experienced by the first Rib
Crib led to the opening of a second restaurant. Two to
three Rib Cribs opened each year for the next ten years
to bring the current total to 21 restaurants. With franchising
efforts in full force, the company has set its goal at
100 units in three to five years. Currently Rib Crib operates
in three states: Oklahoma, Missouri and Florida. New locations
are slated for Kansas, Ohio and Florida.
Rib Crib's Tenth Anniversary will be celebrated
through the entire year with marketing promotions targeted
at both guests and employees. New television and radio
commercials will hit the airwaves and new print advertising
has been developed to communicate the message of Rib Crib's
quality products and service.
Rib Crib is the brainchild of Bret Chandler
who keeps an eye on operations on a daily basis. As president
and CEO, Chandler also oversees the expansion plans of
his barbecue empire. A firm believer in giving back to
the communities that support his restaurants, Chandler
has ensured Rib Crib plays a major role in community organizations
such as the March of Dimes, Cystic Fibrosis, local high
schools, and universities.
