Rib Crib Sells Springfield Units in 10-Unit Area Development Deal

January 1, 2003: Bold Ribs Company, LLC of Springfield, Missouri entered an agreement with Rib Crib Corporation to purchase the two Springfield Rib Crib units and signed an area development deal to develop eight additional units in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas.

Principals Richard Pendleton and Mike Treadwell are also operators of fifty-one KFC units and seven Taco Bell units.

Bold Ribs will open their first unit under the terms of the development deal in Branson, Missouri in second quarter of this year.

Bold Ribs is also planning on developing units in Rogers/Bentonville, Fayetteville, Ft. Smith, Conway and Springdale, Arkansas, as well as Joplin, Springfield, Nixa and Ozark, Missouri.

The Springfield units have been operating since 1999 and have received many local Best BBQ awards.
